How To Play Golf Playing Cards

Getting Started with Golf Playing Cards

Golf Playing Cards is a simple and entertaining card game that can be played by 2-6 players. The game is also known as Golf Card Game or Golf Solitaire. It's a great way to spend time with friends and family, and it's easy to learn. To start playing, you'll need a standard deck of 52 cards, without jokers. The objective of the game is to have the lowest score at the end of the game by forming valid sets and runs of cards.

To begin, each player is dealt 7 cards, and the remaining cards are placed face down in a draw pile. The top card of the draw pile is turned over and placed beside it, face up, to start the discard pile. Players take turns drawing a card from the draw pile or picking up the top card from the discard pile. The player can then discard one card from their hand face up on top of the discard pile.

Scoring and Winning the Game

As players collect cards, they can start forming sets and runs. A set consists of three or four cards of the same rank, but different suits. A run consists of three or more cards of the same suit in sequential order, such as 3-4-5 of hearts. Players can lay down their sets and runs on the table, and other players can add to these sets and runs. The game continues until a player has formed sets and runs that use all the cards in their hand.

At the end of the game, players score points for the cards they have left in their hand. Numbered cards are worth their face value, while face cards are worth 10 points each. Aces are worth 1 point each. The game continues until a player reaches a score of 100 or more, and the player with the lowest score at that point wins the game. With its simple rules and strategic gameplay, Golf Playing Cards is a great game for card game enthusiasts of all skill levels.
